FIRE ALARM SYSTEM
Welcome
to the World of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, Designed, Supplied, Installed
and Maintained by us. We deal with the world famous and quality &
reliability proven manufacturers in U.S.A & U.K. Such as Edwards System
Technology (EST –
U.S.A), Mirtone International, Canada, Deetech –
U.K, C –
Tec Co., - U.K, Zeta –
U.K and Secutron Inc, Canada.
DEVICES
Fire Alarm system provides earliest warning of the
outbreak of Fire, in order to alarm both the occupants of a building and fire
fighters. The initiating devices can be Smoke or Heat detectors, the manual pull
stations or break glass, beam detectors, flame detectors (UV or IR), any
interfaces like pressure, flow or tamper switches or gas detectors. The output
alarm devices can be bell, horn, siren, strobe, door holder, speaker VDU (CRT or
LCD), remote annunciator, printer or any of such kind. Graphic annunciator if
used will help to find the place of accident of fire very fast, as it employs a
graphic (layout drawing) display.
INTERFACING WITH OTHER UTILITIES
A building may have some systems need to be connected with
fire alarm system. They are AHU's Lift / elevator, pressure fan and supply Fan,
fire check doors or smoke escape fans exhaust fans. All these may be connected
individually or as a group to BMS. BMS (Building) Management System) shall be
interfaced with our Fire Alarm System.
SYSTEM AND BASIC OPERATION
Fire Alarm System shall be either conventional or analogue
addressable type. SFFECO deals both upon the client's requirements. Conventional
System has zonewise annunciation to locate the affected Zone / Area. A group of Detectors are made into a
Zone and connected to the Main Fire Alarm control Panel through detector line
dedicated for this purpose. As a typical example, the maximum number of
detectors that can be connected to one Detector line (Zone) shall be considered
as 20 Numbers. If the quantity of the detectors are more than 20, a control panel
of more than one zone has to be selected. In some case, as per the site
conditions, a multizone control panel may be selected even with the less numbers
(less than 20) of detectors.

then switch on the OUTPUT Circuits and relays to raise an alarm. These alarm
sounders / strobes shall be silenced by Alarm silence switch. If the cause for
the alarm restores to normal. " RESET" the panel to bring back to
"NORMAL", "DRILL" SWITCH is used to test the output devices
whenever required. Sounders / strobes may be inhibited during the drill, not
alarm the public during testing as auxiliary 24VDC Supply shall be used for 4
wire detectors which need additional power than detector line. RMOD shall be
used for gas release or fire protection valve controls. City tie module is for
external annunciation through telephone.
ANALOGUE ADDRESSABLE CONTROL PANEL
Addressable fire alarm panels, as of its unique features
are widely used nowadays. Its advantages are
1. Pinpoint information of the
devices.
2. Paging facility (call all /
individual)
3. History report through its
LCD / VDU.
4. Easy access for Fire
fighting and maintenance.
5. Using command menus, you can
make your system work to your shopisticated
requirements.
6. User friendly
7. Two way communications
through built in telephones
8. Interfacing with any
non-addressable devices using the proposed modules.
Addressable detectors and Modular execute the main jobs in this system. Each
device / module has its own label (command or number) which can be called for
operation in the programmed way. A printer if connected will give a print out
report for logging. Graphic displays if any will give a picture of the area.
